Kelantan UMNO to 'polish' selected youths as future leaders

Beginning next year, the Kelantan Umno will identify several young people with calibre and leadership skills with potential to be promoted as future leaders.
Kelantan Umno liaison chairman Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said for a start, about 20 people would be selected for the programme.
He said proper planning had to be made to get people with the right criteria and attributes for the programme.
"We not only want young people, but those with calibre and acceptable by the society," he told reporters after an event to honour students in the Jeli parliamentary constituency who obtained excellent result in the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) at Bukit Bunga here, Sunday.
Also present were Bukit Bunga Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Adhan Kechik and Kuala Balah Assemblyman Datuk Abdul Aziz Derashid.
