Kit Siang must submit evidence on corruption claims - NGO
Ramesh (centre) says even DAP members claim that Lim is a liar and speaks without evidence
A local NGPO has called for DAP national advisor Lim Kit Siang to submit evidence of alleged misconducts by the government.
Mind and Social Concern Organisation head Ramesh Rao, said the DAP veteran has made many accusations towards the government since 1969 but has yet to produce any evidence to support his claims.
"I have investigated the matter with DAP members and even they say Lim is a liar and speaks without evidence.
"Almost 40 percent of the younger generation believe all his accusations, which are uttered on stage or in his blog. During the last general elections, he poisoned the people. Even a Year 2 pupil can say that BN is corrupted," said Ramesh, according to a report by Sinar Harian Online.
The social activist submitted a fraud report on Lim at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters today, including recordings of speeches from the Gelang Patah MP, obtained from YouTube.
"We asked that MACC investigate Lim. Call him up. I already gave the links to the blog which he repeatedly accused the government as a 'world-class corrupted government'."
He said Lim should resign as MP should he fail to produce the evidence.
"If you don't show up at the MACC, we will come forward and challenge you at your constituency," Ramesh said in reference to the DAP leader.
"Otherwise, it is better for him to resign."
