DAP adviser, Lim Kit Siang has planned to take legal action against PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for allegedly defaming the former as anti-Islam.
"I'm not anti-Islam," he told reporters after attending the Chinese New Year open house hosted by Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng at Spice Arena near here today.
Kit Siang, who is also Gelang Patah member of parliament said he had asked his lawyer to look into the matter.
Commenting on the firm stand of PAS which still refused to cooperate with DAP, Kit Siang said it was now Abdul Hadi's rights to reject any possibility of working together with DAP.
Kit Siang also said Abdul Hadi was arrogant to refuse to cooperate in the 14th General Election.
Yesterday, Abdul Hadi was reported as saying PAS had reiterated that it would not accept Kit Siang's offer to cooperate with DAP to ensure victory for opposition in the upcoming 14th General Election.
