Laws that prevent the culture of party jumping need to be drafted to prevent elected representatives from being 'bought' to the point of threatening the political stability in Sabah.
Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal suggested for an enactment to be created to prevent them from leaving the ruling government.
Shafie believed that the effort to 'buy' people will continue until the Sabah State Election (PRN).
"For the past three months, I have been watching their situation and movement to buy people (elected representatives).
"In fact, they are willing to go from house to house and promise money and positions. There are also elected representatives who make police reports because they are threatened by spies who follow them," he said during the Breakfast Grille BFM radio show, on Friday.
Although the country is currently facing various crises, Mohd Shafie thinks the decision to hold a PRN is for the best.
"I think it is better to give the choice to the people. Of course, I do not like to dissolve the DUN, but I am sure this is the right way," he said.
