READ: Life will be peaceful without dysfunctional politicians (Part 1)

THE time has come for every politician, regardless of his political beliefs and fanaticism, who has the membership in the Lower House of the Parliament to hold each other’s hands in combating this catastrophic pandemic that has been killing thousands of innocent lives.

It’s not sinful to be a politician without playing politics every single day.

Even a prolific footballer temporarily hangs his boots up and plays piano for a mind chill.

Presently, Malaysians are in their mammoth hopes of wanting to be prosperously and steadily governed by a functional government, which each Cabinet minister can work progressively towards meeting the people’s aspirations and wishes.

From my perspective, this painful pandemic does exist for politicians to be united, and the unity in politics must be instantly moulded with each of the political parties that has elected representatives in the Parliament walks together in finding relevant cures in fighting the disastrous COVID-19.

Being a politician is not a wrongful act, and in fact, it could be a decent way of contributing good deeds to the people if it’s done in a right and respectful manner.

As a Malaysian, I love this nation, and I want… really want it to be pathed towards the betterment that we mutually want — a greater nation in the economy.

The economically-great-country status can’t be pursued if politicians, be they from ruling or opposition bloc, keep craving for political clout but envision no beneficial agendas in responsibly serving for this land.

Politics has been unpleasantly stigmatised as a “dirty field” by some, and becoming a “Yang Berhormat” could seem to be a disrespectful profession in the future if today’s politicians don’t really prove that they exist (and get paid) to just work for the continuous wellbeing of the people they represent.

If Cristiano Ronaldo can shake his hand with his tight rival Lionel Messi’s, why don’t the multiparty parliamentarians do the same in manoeuvring a new political norm—to serve together despite political flags.

From there, God wills it, a peaceful life for all of us awaits.
