AHMAD: Criticisms should be made during internal discussions and not publicly...the party's enemies can make use of the opportunity.
PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu's criticism of party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang can weaken PAS, said its deputy spiritual leader Datuk Ahmad Yakob.
He said the party leadership should discuss problems and not make public criticisms which could affect the party.
"The criticisms should be made during internal discussions and not publicly...the party's enemies can make use of the opportunity.
"People read, people have wrong perceptions about us, and this can have a negative effect on us," he told reporters here today.
Ahmad, who is also Kelantan Menteri Besar, was asked to comment on the remarks by Mohamad, more commonly known as Mat Sabu, who will be defending his post at the PAS 2015 general assembly.
Mat Sabu had questioned Abdul Hadi's failure to win Terengganu (in the last general election and the latter's alleged plan to take PAS out of the opposition alliance consisting of PAS, PKR and DAP.
