The MCA will carry out an attitude census as a medium to reach out to the grassroots of the Chinese community nationwide to find out problems faced by the people and draw the attention of the federal government.
Wanita Chief, Datuk Heng Seai Kie said the census would be implemented as soon as MCA had completed the 'Jalinan Rakyat Plus' (JR Plus) training session to obtain feedback on ideas and opinions to resolve problems faced by the community.
"MCA will conduct the census at every state by involving all levels in the party, including Wanita MCA and MCA Youth in preparation for the GE14 (14th General Election). We will go from house to house to listen to the problems faced by the people.
"This attitude census gives us an opportunity to come face to face with the people to get the most accurate and precise information," she told reporters at the JR Plus training briefing for Kedah and Perlis MCA here Saturday.
Heng said the opinions would be reported to the federal government to be used as material for the upcoming budget draft.
"From the results of the attitude census, we will take follow-up action to help the people in the short and long term.
"So, this time the census will be more holistic," she added.
