MIC president Datuk Seri G Palanivel today has agreed to a moratorium to allow the clashing factions in the party to discuss with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on effort to resolve the prolonged party feud.
"We will have a moratorium. I do not want the party crisis to escalate," he said in a statement issued today.
Palanivel and his deputy, Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam will 'stand-down' to allow a non-crisis period for party members to resolve issues that had surfaced, said Palanivel in the statement.
"We will meet and decide on the next course of action to satisfy all quarters as soon as possible," added Palanivel.
The moratorium will allow both sides to discuss with Najib to find the best way to resolve the crisis.
