MIC must do better in GE14 - Dr Subramaniam

Dr Subramaniam hopes the MIC machinery at the grassroots level will be closer to the people to gain better support.
MIC must do better in the coming general election (GE14) machinery because it is the responsibility and duty of all Barisan Nasional component parties to garner a bigger win than in GE13, said its president Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.
"I hope the party machinery at the grassroots level will be closer to the people, so as to increase the support for the party and at the same time strengthen the position of the MIC in BN," he said after chairing the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur MIC annual meeting here, Tuesday.
The annual meeting was held in conjunction with Kuala Lumpur MIC's 70th Anniversary, which was launched by Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.
In the last general election, MIC won four parliamentary seats, namely Tapah, Cameron Highlands. Hulu Selangor and Segamat and seven state seats.
