MIC Youth Monday launched a campaign to register four to six million youths as new voters in the 14th general election (PRU-14).
MIC Youth chief C. Sivarraajh said the movement hoped to register 15,000 new voters via the campaign by the end of the year and increase the figure every year.
"Our focus is on all communities and not only on the Indian community," he said in a statement, here, today.
He said MIC Youth also launched "Ops Jelas", a campaign to explain current issues to the young generation.
He said the campaign was important to prevent the young generation from being influenced by anti government propaganda in the social media.
Both the campaigns would be carried out until PRU-14 in 2018, he added.
