Mohd Hafidz Rizal sacked as PKR Kelantan youth chief

He said he was informed of the sacking by PKR National Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad via a WhatsApp message.

"I received a WhatsApp message from YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad at 9.08 am on my immediate sacking as the PKR Kelantan Youth chief," he said in the post.

Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal, when contacted, declined comment but said he would hold a press conference in Kuala Lumpur soon on the matter and state his stand.

The PKR Kelantan Youth Committee had expressed waning support for Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal and called on him to resign.

The committee vice-chief Mohd Khairul Amin Abdul Rahman reportedly said that the majority of the committee members had signed a memorandum calling on the central leadership to sack Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal.

There were also calls for Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal to resign because PKR Kelantan was said to be split into two after its chairman Ab Aziz Ab Kadir was inclined towards PAS as he wanted the PKR political appointees in the state to retain their posts.

Dr Mohd Hafidz Rizal was said to be one of the PKR Kelantan leaders who was a strong supporter of Ab Aziz.
