Muhyiddin's special press conference today, Mukhriz and Shafie to also attend

Former Kedah MB Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal will be joining in Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s special press conference today.
The press conference is expected to start at 11am at Muhyiddin's office at Bukit Damansara.
All eyes are on Muhyiddin and his press conference today after former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed announced that he is leaving UMNO last Monday.
Muhyiddin is expected to announce if he will be following Dr Mahathir’s steps or remain with the country’s oldest political party.
On Monday, the suspended UMNO deputy president told reporters that said he is still loyal to the party.
The 68-year-old politician said he will issue his statement following his suspension as on Friday by UMNO Supreme Council after a meeting at the party’s headquarters in Menara Dato' Onn, Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

“I will issue a statement pertaining my suspension, my position and other related matters in two days,” said Muhyiddin.
Meanwhile, the focus will also be on Mukhriz at the press conference today on his stand of whether if he will continue to be with UMNO or follow his father’s step.

Pagoh UMNO division on Feb 27 announced that they rejected Muhyiddin's suspension and said the council’s decision failed to adhere the correct procedure under Clause 20 of the party’s constitution.
He added that the division collectively feel that Muhyiddin’s suspension is a betrayal of the party members across the country.
