MyPPP identifies seats to contest in GE14

The People's Progressive Party of Malaysia (MyPPP) has identified several Parliamentary and State seats they intend to contest in the 14th General Election (GE14).
Its president, Tan Sri M. Kayveas said that in addition to Cameron Highlands, the other seats include Buntong state seat in Perak, Kota Alam Shah and Kepong (Selangor), Guchil (Kelantan) and Kota Laksamana (Melaka).
"We have already identified the seats and are positive that we can contribute to the victory of Barisan Nasional (BN) in the GE14," he said.
Kayveas, who is also special advisor to the Minister of Transport was speaking to Bernama after launching the 'Knowledge and Skills Bazaar' programme and the 'Empowerment For Tamil Schools In Cameron Highlands' programme in Tanah Rata here Sunday.
Kayveas said that until now MyPPP had almost 700,000 members nationwide and all of them were registered voters.
Kayveas said he was willing to offer himself to contest the Cameron Highlands Parliament seat in GE14.
However, he left it to the BN leadership to decide whether the component party will be given the opportunity to contest in the constituency, currently held by former MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel. -- Bernama
