Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Wednesday called on Pengkalan Kubor voters to come out in force in the by-election on Thursday and exercise their right to choose their new representative.
"I urge all to come out and vote in the Pengkalan Kubor by-election tomorrow (Thursday). Fulfill your responsibility to the country and make the right choice," he said in his Twitter account here on Wednesday.
Polling on Thursday will see a three-corner fight involving Barisan Nasiona(BN) candidate Mat Razi Mat Ail, PAS' Wan Rosdi Wan Ibrahim and Independent Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary.
The by-election was called following the death of BN assemblyman Datuk Noor Zahidi Omar on Aug 20.
In the 13th general election last year, Noor Zahidi defeated PKR candidate Saharun Ibrahim and Izat Bukhary (Independent) with a majority of 1,736 votes.
