He is also said to have been meeting moderate leaders, including Chinese leaders to formulate the new party, the report said.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s brother, Datuk Seri Nazir Razak is said to be courting the idea of forming a new political party, news portal Asia Sentinel reported.
The report said Nazir has been quietly meeting with business leaders in his UK headquarters and in Kuala Lumpur to form a well-funded new, nonpartisan political entity.
The new party aim to reach out to all races and end the divisive racial politics.
He is also said to have been meeting moderate leaders, including Chinese leaders to formulate the new party, the report said.
Restrained by his father’s role in UMNO and the Malaysian politics, Nazir is believed to stay behind the scenes with Global Moderates Movement (GMM) chief executive officer Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah being the public face of the new party.
On Tuesday, DAP announced that the Opposition pact, Pakatan Rakyat (PR) ceased to exist following its ally PAS's decision to sever ties with the DAP.

DAP had also accused PAS's president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to have killed the PR with the hudud issue.
PR is seen as the only alternative to the Barisan Nasional government.
