Nazir who has been increasingly vocal with the current political upheavals of the nation is said to be in talks with fellow friends to do their bit for a better Malaysia.
"In this context, I have had conversations with like-minded friends, including Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, about the need to better enable moderate Malaysians to voice their views, concerns and suggestions.
"We have discussed setting up an NGO, but it remains just an idea at this moment," Nazir said in the statement.
Meanwhile Global Movement of Moderates (GMM) CEO, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah in a statement confirming the discussions held, stated that those involved were in thoughts of forming an NGO.
"There have been conversations by him and friends, including me, on the current socio-political and economic situation.
"We are thinking of forming an NGO as a platform for moderate voices," stated Saifuddin.
