So far, no one from the party had expressed intention to challenge Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang for the president's post at the party's 61st assembly to be held in Kuala Selangor, Selangor, this June.

PAS secretary-general, Datuk Mustafa Ali said according to the party constitution, all posts in the party, including the president's post, were open for contest and members who received a minimum of two nominations were eligible to contest.

"Nomination is still open. We wait for nominations from the party divisions which will be holding their respective general meetings," he told reporters after the party's monthly meeting, chaired by Abdul Hadi, here Friday.

Also present were Kelantan Menteri Besar and PAS deputy spiritual leader, Datuk Ahmad Yakob and deputy president Mohamad Sabu.

On Thursday, Abdul Hadi said he was prepared to be challenged for the leadership post, which he held since 2002.
