DAP does not intend to hold any discussion with PAS regarding the candidates for the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections, said Lim Guan Eng today.

The DAP Secretary-General said, the question should not be posed to him.

"DAP will not have any discussion with PAS. You (reporters) should not ask me that question," he said when met at the Parliament lobby today.

The Bagan Member of Parliament was also asked about the impending Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting, reportedly to be held this week, to discuss the by-election for the parliamentary seats.

To this, he said: “We have not made any decision. So, I don’t think I need to answer that question.”

Asked whether he would support the candidate to be named by Amanah, Lim stressed, he would always support a Pakatan Harapan candidate.

“I have stated my stand before, that I support Pakatan Harapan candidate," he added.

On another matter, commenting on the visit by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission officers to his residence in Georgetown yesterday, the Penang Chief Minister said: "You have to ask my lawyer."

The by-elections for both Sungai Besar in Selangor and Kuala Kangsar in Perak are scheduled to be held simultaneously on June 18.
