UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein confirmed today that no motion was submitted to the party’s annual general meeting next month demanding for UMNO president Datuk Seri Najib Razak to resign.
He said the party had also received 132 motions supporting Najib’s leadership.
“It is not a must for a division to submit motion to state their support. If they want to support, they support but what is more important is that there is no motion rejecting Najib’s leadership,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.
He said a special convention will be set up on Nov 24 to study the 513 out of the 738 motions received from the grassroots.
