No need to worry, UMNO has a clear direction, strategy - Ahmad Zahid

KUALA LUMPUR:Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi assured that the UMNO he is currently leading has a clear direction even though there are allegations that the party seems to have no direction.

According to the UMNO president, the first direction at this time is to strengthen Barisan Nasional (BN) to face the 15th General Election (GE-15).

The second direction, he outlined, is strengthening cooperation with truly honest and sincere parties to work with BN.

"I also understand that direction is often associated with strategy. Once again I assure UMNO has a strategy.

“It's just that it is no longer a political strategy if all parties, especially the opposition, knows what UMNO is doing and will do.

“UMNO's strategy cannot be static, rigid and cramped. Political strategy cannot be schematic, need to be wise," he said through a post on his Facebook on Tuesday.

He added that the UMNO leadership also has the best strategy for the party, members and the people as a whole that meets the needs of the grassroots without sacrificing the struggle agenda.

“But it is quite surprising when the anti-UMNO seems to be the most disappointed and angry because UMNO supposedly has no direction.

"Every day they are raising the matter on social media. What is their trick, I think you have an answer,” he added.
