At the eleventh hour, UMNO Youth who had announced that it will lodge a police report against two individuals for allegedly being involved in a coup attempt at ousting Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, had a sudden change of heart today.
UMNO Youth exco Datuk Armand Azha Abu Hanifah who had called for a press conference today said he decided to drop the matter after finding out that such reports were untrue.
“I received nine documents on this matter. But after finding out that the reports are untrue, I dropped the matter," he told reporters in front of Dang Wangi Police Station today.
Armand also called on the authority to take actions against those who try to disrupt the governance and country’s leadership through undemocratic ways such as street demonstration that would result in political hatred.
He hoped that the authority will manage such matter with strict manner.
