Khairy was commenting on PKR candidate Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail's claim voter turnout on May 7 because it is a working day, and that the BN had a hand in it.
The Permatang Pauh by-election polling day on a working day does not give any advantage to any party as claimed by the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leadership, said Barisan Nasional (BN) Youth chairman Khairy Jamaluddin.
He said the Election Commission (EC) had fixed the date and for that reason all parties need to work hard to call their outstation voters to come back and vote.

"This is a level playing field, the BN itself has to bring back its outstation voters.
"This is should not be questioned, both parties (BN and Pakatan Rakyat) need to work hard to call back voters," he told reporters after opening a futsal programme at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Guar Perahu, here Sunday.
Khairy was commenting on PKR candidate Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail's claim voter turnout on May 7 because it is a working day, and that the BN had a hand in it.
Khairy, who is also Youth and Sports Minister, said three factors that contributed to support for the BN by young groups becoming better were choosing the right candidate, a strong youth machinery and the third was the never-ending problems in the opposition pact.
"This is the trend among the young voters in Permatang Pauh now which has caused support for the opposition to drop.
"This time, the BN candidate is a young man, who is born and bred in Permatang Pauh. He will always be around to serve the people, which the voters hope for and most importantly he will not be a part-time Member of Parliament (MP)," he said.
Khairy said young voters in Permatang Pauh should give a chance to the BN candidate, Suhaimi Sabudin to represent the voice of the young groups in the Permatang Pauh parliamentary area.
The Permatang Pauh by-election on May 7 will see a four-cornered fight involving Suhaimi Sabudin (BN), Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (PKR), Azman Shah (Parti Rakyat Malaysia) and Salleh Isahak (Independent).
