Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir has described the formation of the Pakatan Harapan leadership structure as a struggle for power which will mess up the party's decision-making process.
He said the formation of the structure could not determine who among the party leaders would have the final say.
"There are three leaders at the top of the structure and three others at the bottom. There is a de facto leader, a chairman and a president. Can you imagine how the party will make its decision?" he told reporters after attending the Lumut Parliamentary Constituency's Aidilfitri Open House here today.
Yesterday, Pakatan Harapan, which comprises Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), DAP, Parti Amanah Negara and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) announced its new leadership structure with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as its de facto leader, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as the chairman and Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the president.
Meanwhile, Zambry also described the seven-point pledge made by Pakatan Harapan if they win in the 14th general election (GE14) as random pledges and just a trick to garner votes.
The menteri besar said the main objective of Pakatan Harapan was only to topple the prime minister without looking at the bigger context of the country.
"That is why they are making all those promises to the people, including to control the oil price for example. How can they do that when the oil price is determined by the international market? Malaysia does not control the oil price," he said.
