Palanivel announces new MIC appointments

MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel has announced a slew of appointments for several key state-level positions, including the installation of Tan Sri Ramasamy Muthusamy as Perak MIC liaison committee chairman.
Palanivel said all the appointments took effect immediately and that he had issued letters to all concerned that would reach them in due course.
Ramasamy takes over the Perak MIC chairmanship from Palanivel.
Datuk Ganesan Arumugam is taking over Datuk S. Sothinathan's position as the Negeri Sembilan state liaison committee chairman.
"Datuk S. Sothinathan has very magnanimously agreed to relinquish his position at my request to concentrate at the national level," Palanivel said in a statement.
In addition, Datuk Rajoo Vyraperumal is the party's new Wilayah state liaison committee chairman replacing Datuk M. Saravanan.
"There will also be changes in the respective state liaison committees which will be announced by the respective chairmen," he said.
