PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said the party would take the 'wait-and-see' approach following the deepening crisis between the party and DAP.
Abdul Hadi said the party itself was not sure what would happen to the opposition coalition if the two parties part ways from Pakatan Rakyat (the opposition alliance made of PKR, DAP and PAS).
"The best way to settle this crisis is to wait and see ... I am now focused on the PAS Muktamar (PAS general assembly)," he told reporters at Parliament's lobby today.
Asked whether PAS was ready to walk out of the coalition, Abdul Hadi said the party had previously been on its own.
"Normally old incidents do not repeat themselves. Our concept is being with Malaysia's plural society and we cannot be alone," he said.
"For now PAS is still with Pakatan, I still sit in the same seat, but I don't know what will happen in the future," said Abdul Hadi.
On Sunday, DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang said Pakatan may cease to exist in two weeks time, reflecting that the coalition is now on the brink of disintegration.
Recently, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng had announced that DAP was severing ties with Abdul Hadi after PAS insisted on going ahead with implementation of hudud law in Kelantan.
