PAS contesting 80 seats in GE14 not final - Kelantan MB

PAS is still at the preliminary stage on how many parliamentary seats it will contest in the 14th General Election (GE14), said Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob.
He said that as such, the statement by PAS vice president Idris Ahmad that the party was targeting 80 seats was inaccurate.
"He (Idris Ahmad) was just giving a projection but there is nothing specific yet. In order to contest we must be strong in the seats concerned and as such we have to see how things develop," he told reporters after attending the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) Meeting 1/2017 here today.
On PAS' relations with Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Ahmad said this would be decided at PAS' general assembly which is scheduled to be held later this month.
