PAS delegates slam members, DAP for not backing hudud
A number of PAS Muktamar delegates today slammed DAP and PAS members, who are not backing the proposed implementation of hudud in Kelantan.
A number of PAS Muktamar delegates today slammed DAP and PAS members, who are not backing the proposed implementation of hudud in Kelantan.
Federal Territory delegate, Kamaruzaman Mohamad said DAP should not openly and continuously criticise the party, including its president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, if they were committed to the opposition pact.
"If they (DAP) are still committed to continuing our struggle together, they should act in a more mature manner and treat friends accordingly," he said when debating on the president's policy speech on the second day of the muktamar, here, today.
A delegate from Kedah, Abd Ghani Ahmad, said he was upset with some of the PAS and PKR leaders who did not support the tabling of the Private Member's Bill on hudud in Parliament, as they felt that capturing Putrajaya was more important than implementing the Islamic criminal law.
"It is an unreasonable, as they know what PAS has been fighting for from the beginning, before Pakatan Rakyat (PR) was formed," he said.
Kelantan delegate Datuk Dr Mohd Fadhli Hasan reminded DAP of the agreement, which was signed by all the PR leaders in 2011.
According to the agreement, PR pledged to oppose UMNO and each of the PR ally was allowed to pursue its own goals based on its policies.
"But now DAP seems to forget the agreement and they blame PAS as if we are the ones who break the agreement (when PAS wants to implement hudud)," he said.
Pahang delegate Nazri Hasan called on the newly elected PAS leaders to investigate the alleged existence of a movement called 'Hawaii-Five-O', which tried to topple certain individuals in the party.
