PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang says the establishment of the Persatuan Ummah Sejahtera Malaysia (Pasma) is "beyond the knowledge of the party".
On his part, he said he was still obscure on the objective behind setting up such a non-governmental organisation.
"We do not know yet ... we do not know from which species this Pasma is from," he told reporters after a winding-up speech and bringing to a close, the Terengganu Hari Hududullah Seminar here Sunday.
He also slammed Pasma which disputed the decision of the PAS Ulama Syura Council which released a statement banning PAS members from joining the organisation.
The council took such a measure because of complaints from various states on the misconduct of the organisation, including campaigning to prevent PAS members from attending the party's branch meetings.
Yesterday, Pasma president Datuk Phahrolrazi Zawawi said the PAS Ulama Syura Council had no executive powers to do so because it was under the jurisdiction of PAS' Central Working Committee.
