Kelantan deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah urged party members and leaders to abide by the directives of the PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang, and obey all decisions made in meetings of the party's top leadership.
Mohd Amar, when making the recommendation, said party members must act in accordance with the policy of the party and all differences of opinion must be managed properly.
"Although, we respect our friends in the opposition pact, PAS members must act according to party policy.
"It is the authority of the president to determine the results and decide on the direction of PAS," he said in his speech to open the 30th general meeting of PAS Klang division in Pandamaran here on Sunday.
In the meantime, Mohd Amar, who is also Kelantan PAS Deputy Commissioner 1, drew attention that Kelantan vowed to implement hudud in the state and as such, PAS members should not support suggestions to postpone or reject the implementation of hudud in Kelantan.
Abdul Hadi had submitted a notice of motion to the Dewan Rakyat on March 18 to table a private member's bill to implement hudud in Kelantan.
Meanwhile, Klang PAS division chief, Mohd Prasad Hanif said the general meeting of the Klang division today unanimously supported the Ulama leadership of the party by nominating Abdul Hadi as party president in the election in June.
He said the delegates were confident the leadership of the ulama should be headed by Abdul Hadi who had brought big victories to PAS since becoming president.
Mohd Prasad also rapped DAP which had cut off relations with Abdul Hadi over hudud, which is seen as contradictory to democratic practices.
For the post of deputy president, the PAS Klang division nominated Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
Mohd Amar, Selangor PAS Commissioner, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad and Temerloh Member of Parliament, Nasrudin Hasan were each nominated for the vice-president's posts.
