PAS president, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang stressed that the party is ready to end its cooperation with DAP.
Abdul Hadi said their readiness to end the cooperation was done following statements made and actions taken by DAP leaders aiming to create a shadow cabinet without the involvement of PAS and PKR.
He said, the action taken by DAP is akin to 'empty talks' and is unrealistic as a shadow cabinet should take into account various matters in the Constitution and not done based on the interest of a certain group.
"If (DAP) wants to leave, then leave, I need to be in Malaysia, Malaysia is a multiracial country.
"We already have many groups and non-Muslim NGOs," said Abdul Hadi to reporters in Marang soon after the Friday prayers today.
He added that DAP cannot make claims as they are not the only party representing the non-Muslim community in the country.
Abdul Hadi said this when he was asked to comment on the call made by DAP secretary-general, Lim Guan Eng who aims to govern the country alone by establishing a shadow cabinet which does not involve PAS and PKR.
Guan Eng said this as the party (DAP) does not have any relationship with the PAS president.
He also claimed that the shadow cabinet proposed by PKR president, Datin Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Ismail will fail following Abdul Hadi's refusal to cooperate.
Guan Eng characterised Abdul Hadi as hard to control as he has the veto power to dismiss any decision agreed together with Pakatan Rakyat.
