PAS Youth chief Nik Abduh Nik Aziz regrets PKR's decision to accept a PAS elected representative as its new member as it shows disrespect to a Pakatan Rakyat (PR) partner.
"PAS' stand in Pakatan Rakyat is respect for its partners and will not accept their elected representatives," he told reporters after chairing the PAS Youth working committee meeting at the PAS headquarters, today.
Last Friday, Tumpat Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar announced quitting PAS and joining PKR.
Former Selangor menteri besar Tan Sri Muhammad Muhd Taib also did the same.
Nik Abduh said Kamaruddin was not spared the bai'ah (oath of allegiance) taken by all PAS representatives to prevent party hopping.
"PAS elected representatives who switched parties will bear the consequences of the bai'ah which they had made."
Nik Abduh, who is also Pasir Mas MP, said PAS was ready to accept DAP members because the two parties had already severed political ties.
"DAP members are welcomed to join PAS. Former Kedah DAP vice-chairman 1 Syed Araniri Syed Ahmad joined PAS recently," he added.
