PAS-DAP ties to be decided at party congress next month
PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang's statement that he was ready to cut ties with the DAP was apparently based on studies.
PAS deputy spiritual leader Datuk Ahmad Yakob said PAS' annual congress next month will determine its ties and cooperation with its partners in the Pakatan Rakyat, especially the DAP.
The Kelantan Menteri Besar said the statement by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang that he was ready to cut ties with the DAP was based on studies.
"He (Abdul Hadi) must have studied the matter. Just wait for the PAS congress next month," he told reporters after opening a seminar on the Socio-Culture of the Siamese and the Indian communities in Kelantan at Kompleks Islam Darul Naim here, Saturday.
The PAS annual congress will be held from June 4-6 in Kuala Selangor, Selangor.
Meanwhile, in Shah Alam, PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali said PAS and DAP leaders should stop trading barbs openly in the media over PR's shadow Cabinet.
"Please go back to the drawing board and discuss," he told reporters after attending the Selangor Foundation Educational Excellence Award 2014 ceremony Saturday.
