Penang PAS treasurer Iszuree Ibrahim has challenged the state exco council and Penang municipal council (MPPP)'s decision to dismiss him and freeze his allocation.
He filed the application for leave to do so at the Penang High Court on Nov 14, through his lawyer Mohd Harris Abdullah.
He named the state exco council as first respondent, and the MPPP and state government as second and third respondent respectively.
Iszuree is seeking to invalidate MPPP's letter dated Sept 26, 2014 and the first respondent's decision on Sept 25, 2014, to remove him from all of MPPP's permanent committees and freeze his allocation.
He is also seeking to invalidate MPPP's letter dated Sept 29, 2014 and the first respondent's decision on Sept 25, 2014, to disallow him from attending the respondents' ad hoc meetings.
The applicant is further seeking an interim order to suspend the first respondent's decision, which was conveyed to him through a letter from the MPPP, dated Sept 26 and Sept 29, 2014, until the substantive motion is heard.
Iszuree wants the respondents to pay damages as deemed fit by the court, and other costs.
