Penang UMNO Youth draws up strategies to attract support

Penang UMNO Youth has drawn up strategies to win the support of youths, whom prior to this backed the Opposition, to support Barisan Nasional (BN) in the state.

Its youth chief Rafizal Abdul Rahim said the movement was confident that their strategies would bear fruit, especially at the Permatang Pauh by-election.

"Our main focus now is to win the votes of the youths for BN. We have several strategies up our sleeve," he said after handing over prizes at Batu Kawan Parliamentary constituency Closed Sepak Takraw Championship here, Friday.

On Feb 10, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim failed in his final appeal when the Federal Court upheld the five years' jail sentence for sodomising his former personal aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, in 2008.

Meanwhile, Penang UMNO Youth had sent a letter to Penang Port Commission to protest the proposal to review the fares for its ferry services, as reported by Bernama on Tuesday.
