People's Congress: Fate of Muhyiddin, Mukhriz to be decided in next UMNO supreme council meeting - Zahid

The position of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir as UMNO members will be decided in the party's next Supreme Council meeting.

The matter was confirmed by UMNO vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in Parliament on Monday.

"We will discuss it in our upcoming Supreme Council meeting," he said.

Ahmad Zahid, who is also Deputy Prime Minister was commenting on the actions of the two leaders who participated in the People's Congress, on Sunday.

Muhyiddin and Mukhriz were among the 18 individuals who spoke at the event organised by the group who called for the resignation of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

On Saturday, UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said that the party would take disciplinary action including expelling any party member who attended the gathering on Sunday.
