People should reject irresponsible leaders - Ahmad Bashah

Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Basha Md Hanipah said leaders such as Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang were irresponsible.

"Lim Kit Siang is the example of an irresponsible leader, he chooses a safe area to contest, after winning, he leaves, that is why people must judge and reject leaders like this.

"He moves from here to there, every five years he will find a new place to contest, how can he serve the people in his area, I myself have remained in the Bakar Bata state assembly seat for five terms, to serve the community in my area," he told reporters after handing over cost of living allowance to fishermen in Tanjung Dawai here, Sunday.

Ahmad Bashah was asked to comment on Lim's recent statement that he did not rule out the possibility of contesting in another parliamentary seat, including in Kedah, during the next General Election.
