PN welcomes solidarity, determined to fight COVID-19

KUALA LUMPUR:Perikatan Nasional (PN) welcomes the spirit of solidarity of the component parties of the Members of Parliament who have expressed full support for the leadership of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and supported the PN government.

Its Information Chief, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said, PN is determined to continue to work hard with the people and the country's front line to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's administration thoroughly provides leadership and works closely with health and economic experts as well as security forces to devise (refine) short-term, medium and long-term plans to deal with this epidemic holistically.

"Perikatan Nasional welcomes the solidarity spirit of the component parties; Pas, STAR and SAPP as well as UMNO MPs, MCA, MIC, PBRS, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) which have expressed full support for the leadership YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and supported the Perikatan Nasional government.

"Perikatan Nasional calls on all parties, especially political leaders across all boundaries to immediately embrace unity with the people in order to fight COVID-19 and restore the country's economy," he said in a statement today.

Azmin added that PN also upheld the command of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah who recognized the success of the Federal government in dealing with the COVID-19 epidemic well and effectively.

PN also, he said, upheld the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's confidence in the implementation of policies and enforcement actions by the Federal Government in order to protect the health of the people, preserve the welfare and ensure the safety of the people and enlighten the country's economy.
