Political situation in Kedah not serious - Mukhriz

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir said the political situation in Kedah is not serious as Kedah UMNO unity is at its highest level.

"The political situation in Kedah is not serious. Do not feel worried and anxious as it will pass. Let the top leaders handle the issue.

"Our support is not only voiced out but via the party machinery who are very loyal and strong," he said when launching the 'Skuad Annnur' of Kedah Wanita UMNO's Religious Bureau here, Saturday.

Bukit Lada State Assemblyman Datuk Ahmad Lebai Sudin had urged Mukhriz, who is also Kedah UMNO Liaison chairman, to quit the menteri besar's post if he failed to support Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
