GUUAN ENG: the survival of PR relies on the three component parties - DAP, PAS and PKR.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will survive even without Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Dismissing claims that PR will fail without Anwar, Lim said the key to PR’s survival lies in its three component parties – DAP, PAS and PKR.

“We reject any ideas by certain parties saying that PR is doomed without Anwar.

“In fact, the survival of PR relies on the three component parties’ holding fast to their promises and commitments,” he said at the DAP Convention held in Kuala Lumpur, Sunday.

Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister stressed that it is vital for component parties carry out decisions that has been agreed upon.

“What is important is that we do what we say. All parties must adhere to the same practice.”

Speaking on DAP, the Bagan MP said that the party will not hesitate to exit PR in order to uphold its principles.

“DAP has always adhered to its principles since party formation in 1966. DAP is not afraid to fight alone, if needed, to uphold these principles.”
