Puteri UMNO should remain committed to realise the government's aspirations and to help the people, especially during Ramadan, said its chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.
She said Puteri UMNO's contribution through Puteri Prihatin and Puteri Peduli aid to the needy including the disabled and orphans is proof of Puteri's commitment.
"I hope they (Puteri UMNO) will always be committed in their efforts to approach the people, not only the youth, but all levels of society," she told reporters after distributing 1,700 packets of bubur lambuk at Masjid Al-Azim, Bukit Palah, here today.
The tourism and culture deputy minister also advised people to not worry about the tourism tax which will be enforced on July 1.
She said the implementation of tourism tax is not to burden the people but to improve the tourism industry especially in terms of services.
