Puteri UMNO's Special Election Unit to work towards GE14

The Puteri UMNO's Special Election Unit will ensure that all plans which have been arranged will be carried out continuously until the 14th General Election (GE14).

Its chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said, it is a workforce that includes the IT Squad, Information Squad and Puteri Peduli Squad.

"The IT and information units will further strengthen the machinery for GE14," she said in her speech during the Puteri movement's general assembly today.

"The IT Unit will have two other sub-units, namely the Voters System Unit which will be the reference to get to know local voters, and Cyber Unit which will strengthen the team in promoting candidates and the national agenda, apart from confronting slanders sown by irresponsible parties.

"The Information Unit will undertake the task of monitoring youngsters so that they get accurate information and not easily influenced by the opposition's false propaganda," she said.

On the Puteri Peduli Squad, Mas Ermieyati said, it is time to actually start aggressively organising more programmes which have impact towards GE14.

"Puteri Peduli members will spread all over the country, into the villages, and meet with the grassroots," she said.

They will approach the women folks of all ranges, from those working in high-rise buildings to university students as well as those in rural areas.

At the same time, Mas Ermieyati also suggested for the party to come up with at least 30 percent women candidates in the coming general election.
