Rafizi challenges Khairy to debate on Anwar's sodomy case judgement

PKR vice president, Rafizi Ramli today challenged Umno Youth chief, Khairy Jamaluddin to a debate on the political conspiracy and judgement revolving around Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's sodomy case.

Rafizi said he will take into account the statement made by Multimedia and Communication Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek on February 18, who stated his readiness to prepare a platform for those wishing to debate on the judgement made on the case.

“Thus, I accept Ahmad Shabery’s readiness by challenging Khairy to a debate on the political conspiracy and judgement related to the Anwar case.

“I urge Ahmad Shabery not to dither and prepare a platform with the condition that the debate format and moderator is agreed upon by both parties and that the debate should be telecast live to avoid from it being edited.

“I also urge Khairy not to withdraw and come forward to clean Umno’s name which is seen as the manipulator behind Anwar's judgement,” said Rafizi during a press conference held at the PKR headquarters, here.

Rafizi added that the rakyat will be awaiting a response from Ahmad Shabery and Khairy in order for them to evaluate themselves if Umno is brave to clear their name.
