The Perak state government has yet to decide who will replace State Assembly speaker Datuk Seri S.K Devamany who has been appointed as Deputy Minister said Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
Zambry said a discussion would be held with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

"Datuk Seri S.K Devamany was appointed as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in a minor cabinet reshuffle recently.
"I have also not heard anything officially from Devamany about his position," he told reporters after hosting a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House at his official residence, here today.
Devamany who is also the MIC Deputy President is expected to relinquish his position as Speaker, a post he had held since 2013, after his appointment by the Prime Minister on June 27.
Zambry said the replacement for Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah as Perak UMNO Deputy Chairman and Perak Barisan Nasional Deputy Chairman would also be discussed at the party level.
Husni resigned from all his Barisan Nasional and UMNO positions after the prime minister announced that the former had stepped down as second finance minister.
