Abdul Ghani also advised candidates who wished to pay the election deposit of RM10,000, to use a bank draft or cash and payment could be made before nomination by presenting a receipt as proof of payment.
For this by-election, Abdul Ghani said the EC had formed six election campaign enforcement teams to monitor the campaign from the moment it was declared to the end of the campaign at midnight on May 4.
"They will patrol and monitor campaign activities of candidates or agents and political parties, bring down prohibited campaign materials, request the police to halt talks which had not been granted a permit and control and coordinate campaign activities in accordance with the law," he said.
Registered voters are urged to check information on the polling centre, serial number and voting channel to facilitate the process of voting on May 5 by contacting the EC headquarters at 03 88927000 or Pahang SPR Office Pahang (095 165 025), he said.
