In a series of tweets, UMNO leader, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan advised Datuk Seri Nazir Razak that running a political party is not an easy task.
"Running political party requires mental & physical stamina, the ability to connect & understand the diverse demands of the rakyat," he tweeted commenting on the news report that Nazir is courting the idea of forming a new political party.
Nazir is the brother of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
He also cautioned Nazir on being under intense scrutiny by the people when he speaks as a politician.
On a personal note, the Kota Belud member of Parliament welcomed more political parties offering themselves to Malaysians.
It was reported that Nazir has been quietly meeting with business leaders in his UK headquarters and in Kuala Lumpur to form a well-funded new, nonpartisan political entity.
The new party aim to reach out to all races and end the divisive racial politics.
Nazir is also said to have been meeting moderate leaders, including Chinese leaders to formulate the new party, the report said.
