Sabah BN to discuss allocation of 13 new seats

Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties will discuss the allocation of seats after the Election Commission (EC) gazettes 13 additional seat approved by the Sabah state assembly on Tuesday.
Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, who is also Sabah BN chairman, said the 13 new constituencies would be finalised by EC.
"The EC will decide the 13 new constituencies. We will then discuss the allocation of seats with the component parties," he told reporters after the Sabah state assembly here Wednesday.
Musa said he was happy with the progress of the state assembly which started on Monday, since two-third of the representatives, including from the opposition, agreed to the increase of 13 new seats in Sabah.
"The sitting this time is a historic one since the proposal to increase the number of constituencies in Sabah from 60 to 73 was approved. Our focus is to offer efficient and effective service to the people," he said.
Musa said the state government was always open to suggestions and accepted views and opinion that can help in the development of Sabah.
