Sabah polls: 85 to 90 per cent of Sabah UMNO candidates are new faces

Sabah UMNO will feature 85 to 90 percent new faces in the Sabah State Election.

State UMNO Liaison Chairman, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said his party is actively conducting research to ensure that the individuals nominated can win and be accepted by the people.

He stressed that he himself will go down to the ground to announce the candidates in their respective constituencies.

"I am researching, give me a little bit of time, we will announce. We in UMNO is a little different, which candidate we have identified to contest who can win, we will announce. I will go to the divisions to announce the names of the candidates, let the people bring the names of our candidate," he said.

Meanwhile, Bung believes that the distribution of seats will be completed in the near future depending on the consensus in the negotiation between all parties.
