Sabah Polls: New GRS government committed to developing Sabah - Muhyiddin

All newly elected representatives under the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will give their full commitment in ensuring the excellence and progress of the state.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin gave the assurance immediately after GRS gained a majority to form the state government after the State Election (PRN) which took place on Saturday.

“I give a strong commitment that the state government that will be formed as soon as possible will get strong support from the Federal Government which I lead as Prime Minister.

"Throughout what I said during the campaign, God willing, we will honour and we will implement as soon as possible," he told the media at his residence here late Saturday.

Muhyiddin, who also expressed his gratitude for the support given by the people of Sabah, expressed his appreciation to all the people of the state for giving confidence to GRS to govern.

“We will ensure that with the support and cooperation given by all the new leaders leading the State Government, we will continue to be with the people of Sabah.

"Sabah will be an excellent state, achieving greater progress for the future," he said.
