SARAVANAN: So far, I have not heard of any MIC member wanting to contest the post, which remains vacant as the deputy president has been elected president.
MIC vice-president Datuk M. Saravanan said today he will contest the post of deputy president at the party elections on Nov 6.
The party has set Oct 25 for nomination for the post of deputy president, three posts of vice-president and 23 Central Working Committee posts.
"So far, I have not heard of any MIC member wanting to contest the post, which remains vacant as the deputy president has been elected president," he told a news conference after launching the 'Naam' magazine here.
