On the eve of polling, Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem made an impassioned plea to Sarawakians to make the "best decision" for a brighter future and preserve the unity and harmony of its multi-racial community.
In a candid letter carried by various language local dailies, he urged voters to support Barisan Nasional and give Team Adenan the chance to create "a better Sarawak for all".
Adenan is leading BN into the state election for the first time since assuming the post two years ago.
He had stated that he needs another five years to realise his development plans for Sarawak. He has also urged the Chinese to return to BN because he wants the community to be represented in his government.

Appeal to Sarawak Voters
My fellow Sarawakians,
As you cast your vote tomorrow, I make this appeal to you to make the best decision for yourself, for your family, for your community, and for our beloved state of Sarawak.
The vote you cast tomorrow will determine how best we can protect the unity that we now enjoy, and to continue strengthening our unity for generations to come.
Your vote will help preserve the harmony that we cherish so much in Sarawak where our multi-racial and multi-religious communities are able to live together in peace and to work together for a brighter future.
It is your vote that will help Sarawak achieve greater autonomy to realise our shared aspirations of becoming a truly progressive partner in the Federation of Malaysia, as our country's founding fathers envisioned in 1963.
Tomorrow, your vote will also serve to ensure that Sarawak's prosperity continues to grow and for all Sarawakians to enjoy the benefits of our well-planned and stable economy.
Protecting Sarawak's unity, preserving Sarawak's harmony, achieving greater autonomy for Sarawak, and ensuring Sarawak's prosperity are the responsibilities that your Barisan Nasional Government has carried out through the years and continues to uphold to this day.
Make no mistake, we must continuously struggle and fight for Sarawak's unity, harmony, autonomy and prosperity.
Otherwise, what we hold so dear could easily slip through our grasp.
With that in mind, Sarawak is indeed blessed that our struggle is recognised by all the top leadership in Barisan Nasional who have given their full commitment to assist us in realising our aspirations.
All us in TeamAdenan are committed to continue our struggle for a better Sarawak. Give us the chance to fight for you to create a better Sarawak for us all.
I appeal to you today to give TeamAdenan a chance.
Vote for a better Sarawak.
Vote for Barisan Nasional.
Adenan Satem
